so how do you pick a membership idea and
run with it and validate it this is something that I get asked a lot and
that very often get people stuck into the I would love to have a
membership I'd have no idea what it looks like so let me give you a hint
there are actually two situations here the first one is you already have an
audience so you have a client base maybe you've sold a one-on-one coaching
group coaching an online course you've done a retweet an event workshops
basically you have a tribe already of people and you've already identified the
struggle that they have okay and maybe even better you've already helped them
they've already purchased something from you if that is the case a great way to
pick an idea is to first look at the ideas that you have that you would love
to build a community around but also to talk to these people talk to them and
find out if that's something they would be interested in and what that would
look like would that be a community would that be support would that be
accountability would that be extra content or maybe you are in this situation where
you don't have an audience yet or you have an audience but it's your list or
your followers and you're not exactly sure how you can support them and what
that would look like so if that is the case what you want to do is you want to
start building and interestly so you want to start interacting with people on
the idea so that you can really gather a list of people that are interested in
this topic so that you can keep you know you can start nurturing them on that
topic and and survey them and ask them you know about ideas and get them
involved into shaping that membership idea what that could look like of course
you want it to fit your business and you're probably doing this because you
want to scale maybe you want to work a little bit less you want to create
recurring revenues and you want to scale and maybe get some free time back but
you also want to make sure that it fits your audience right so you either have
the audience or you're gonna build your audience between any case you really need to
build an interest list from that people that are raising their hand
and now saying yes I am interested please tell me more okay because I can
tell you one thing if you are not able to build a waiting list you sure are not
gonna be able to sell it to them right so I hope you found this useful if you

Hi Nathalie Dorémieux here and in this video I am going to show you how to quickly and easily add a cookie notification on your wordpress site so first you are going to go to your wordpress dashboards and go to plugins and click on add new and then we are going to search for cookie consent and we are going to use this plugins called cookie consent from catapult themes you are going to click on install now and then activate once it's activated you go to settings cookie consent and here you are going to see some of the setups so you can choose if the section is going to be close on the click of a button on scrool or if it's time so if you choose timed then you can set the duration here on how many seconds you want it to show you can choose to have a display on the first page only exclude some pages exclude some zones set the expiration of the cookie and then save changes the second tab is the content tab and that's where you are going to choose the text that you want to display so here I am going to say this site uses cookie by using this site you accept our cookie policy as described in our privacy policy and then you have a button and then you can choose what you want the link to be named so I have found out more it's linking to a cookie policy page that has the actual policy or you can choose to link it to an outside extandal link open in a new tab and this is the label of the button to actually close so we saved changes and then the last tab is the styling this is where you are going to decide where it displays the colors of the text of the background and everything so here I have put it at the bottom you can put like a CSS class if you want to style it but you can choose basically the text color background color the link color button color etc and you can even use the X if you prefere that they close with the X sign so once you have done that basically visit the site and then you can see these bars show up at the bottom si it's going to stay there until I close it because I chose to hide it on click so I can click here to find out more and go directly to the cookie policy file or I can click on close to just close the window like this I hope it's helpful and I will catch you next time

retention strategy tip number two so
one of the ways that you can help get your members stay longer inside your
membership is to provide what we call a monthly round up email and that round up
email is probably something you might have seen if you belong to some popular
memberships what it does the purpose of this email is really to let all members
know what's been going on in the last week or months inside the membership so
this is where you can put Quick Links to threats in the Facebook group or in the
forum if you have a forum it's also the place where you can share the content
that has been dripped that month so what this is going to achieve is that for
people that are members but that haven't really interacted in the past months in
one email you give them shortcuts and Quick Links to click and right away get
back into the membership and start engaging so this is going to really make
members feel like they are not missing out because you are giving them like the
juiciest the best off of the month and you can even choose to have like a
monthly member like a member of the month if you'd like and then showcase
someone that has been particularly engaging or supportive for other members
so this monthly email or even weekly email is a great way to keep your member
engaged and therefore to return them inside your membership longer if you

retention strategy number one provide an
amazing onboarding experience for your members when they join your membership
so from the time that they purchase to when they get access to the content you
want to make sure that your members really feel welcome and there are number
of ways that you can do this the first tip here in this video and I'm
going to share with you is how you can create a great onboarding experience so
one way that you can do this is create a welcome video that is basically going to
be a tour of your platform it's going to show them where the content is if you
have content that's being dripped when it is being dripped if it's going to be live
and when and where and where they're going to be able to watch the replay you
can also talk about how they can get support where they should go if you have
a community this is the time where you want to tell them things that they need
to do right now so maybe it's filling out their profile maybe it's joining the
Facebook group and introducing themselves so what are the things that
you want ideally you remember to do once they join just to make sure that they

Hi Nathalie Dorémieux here and today in this video I am going to share with you a really really cool tool called otter.ai this tool is really going to change the way we provide transcripts for online courses and membership programs but also for your public website if you have a podcast or if you have audios or videos on your public site so what this tool is doing is it's allowing you to create transcripts very easily either by recording directly on the plateform it has an app that you can install on your phone or by uploading an audio or a video and I am going to share with you I am going to do a quick demo to show you the quality so there are 3 things I really love about this tool, one is that the quality is great this is the only tool that I know that can pick up my name the second one is the speed so you will see that when you talk directly it's going to actually process the transcript right away and I have done a little test here with a podcast that had that is thirteen minutes and it took fifteen minutes to get it transcribe so I have a whole bunch of keywords here you can see it have speaker one and two which is me and Natalie MacNeil and then the third thing that I really like about it is the price there is actually a free version that gives you access to six hundred minutes/ month which is quite a lot right so definitely worth testing now let me show you exactly what I mean by quality and how it can be used so you can import here audios videos past podcasts or videos that you have in your online course your membership program or even you know your podcast but I am going to do a little demo and you're going to see exactly how that works live so I am going to click on start recording and I am going to start talking Hi my name is Nathalie Dorémieux and this is a tutorial video so I am going to stop so if I click here you can see that it's processing the conversation meaning that the text is going to be available very shortly so now what I can do is I can clikc here and I can click on export so it's actually still in progress but let me see if I click on export here I can export a text file PDF I can also have speaker name's here showing up or not so especially when you have more than one person talking and then time stamps so if I do this for example for the podcast interview that I had done and I go into export then I can add the speaker name's so you can see the speaker name's would be here right and the time stamps which I added so you can continue and it will just download to your computer so really really cool tool that will save you a lot of time I like the quality so that you are going to have to go and do a little twix especially if you have an accent like me but such a time saver so I hope you enjoyed this little video tool and if you want more tips tool and resources and strategy around membership programs then join the membership experiment this is my free community where I support entrepreneurs who want to leverage their expertise and generate recurring revenue with membership programs

conversations that are actually public so anybody that has access to the page
can see everybody's questions can answer anybody okay and then there is the
second kind of conversation which is more for your one-on-one clients so if
you are coach and you want to provide that a private area for your members
where they can have this conversation with you they can ask you questions you
reply it shows up in the member area then you can also use the private
conversations for that and if you pair it with our Dropbox share feature where
you can basically link a Dropbox folder / one-on-one client then you can share
with them resources call replays and things like that just by drag and
dropping the file in their Dropbox folder right you can also allow them to
upload content so they can upload homework any types of files videos that
you would like to allow them to send to you and then you can be notified so it's
a great way to build a strong relationship with your clients throught the
member area but it's also a great way when you
use it as a public for the community to engage with each other to provide
support to each other and also to get access to you for any questions another
cool feature of the conversations is that you can archive a conversation so
if the conversation becomes obsolete or you want to not have it in the main feed
you just can click on archive if you're an admin you can archive everything if
not then you can only archive your own questions basically you can delete your
questions if you don't want it to show up anymore if you go to archives of
course you'll see what's been archived so it's not deleted but what also you
can do is download the whole slide so you have the option to download the
whole conversation as a text file so that you can save it on your computer
and you can basically keep that for your record so as you can see conversations

You can now setup sales email notifications
with AccessAlly. So the way you do this is you go to AccessAlly/General settings, Initial
Setup, Then you're going to go to the tab called Additional features and you're going
to scroll all the way to the bottom where it says sales notification email. There you're
going to be able to enter 1 or more email addresses that you want to send notifications
to, click on save changes and from now on, any purchase that is going to be made through
the AccessAlly order forms on this site is going to send them an email with a notification
of the sale. This is the email that they'll be getting to notify them of the sale. So
you're going to have the name, the email of the person, the date, the total amount, the
offer that was purchased, if a coupon was used, and if it's linked to any affiliate.

so in this video I'm going to show you how to use the global elements in TV and how to style the vertical menu so here I have a menu that I want to be able to reuse in a different course so what I'm going to do is I'm going to edit this page in a new tab and then you can see that this is a global element because it's green okay so I'm going to right click and disable global because that's the menu that you will get by default when you create a menu okay so the way you start on menu is you click on those three resort online and so once it opens you can see here what many weights linked to but we want to go to the design tab and this is where you're gonna have the different colors so you're gonna have the active link color so that's the text color the drop-down menu color so you can play with all these colors but what's important is here the spacing so the margin here is what's going to give you the white space between the different menus so it's in the margin menu item spacing and here is the padding bottom top and left for the little padding on the so this is the padding inside the menu item okay so a little bit of padding on the top a little bit on the bottom so here a little bit on the top here on the bottom here and the tenth person is four here and the 4px is four right here okay so you can play with these numbers and see what it does okay so this is the completed module checkbox when somebody has completed the module so you can choose the background color and the color of the checkbox when it's completed okay so that's where all nothing is completed here but that's where you'll see a checkbox right here okay so once you have set it up the way you want then you click on save and add to library and you're going to give it a name so I'm going to call it course 1 menu and you make it a global item okay so that means that you're going to be able to reuse that element and if you modify it in one of the modules it's going to modify everywhere say you want to change the color okay then what you want to do is if you're going to a different course right and you want to use the same menu style but then you want to tweak it slightly maybe just change one color or something like that okay so now we're going to come here and we're going to edit this page and we're going to want to use that same menu and then tweak it so that it it's linked to the right menu but we want to start with the same design right we don't want to do this we do the spacing and stuff like that so what we're going to do are going to remove that menu so you're going to go insert module you're going to go to add from library and then you're going to click on course 1 menu which is the one I created you see it's in green and then of course this course 1 menu is is is linked to the other menu so I don't want to modify that right because it's global so now that I've made a copy I'm going to disable global so now that means I have made a copy okay so now I can open it and I can link it to something else I can even give it coaching menu right or cause to menu right so in that case here I'm going to just gonna coach coachy menu and and then in the design I can go in and I can change the colors if I want to right so if you want to have different colors for different courses for example you can but otherwise that's all you have to do so I would if you're gonna have multiple if you're gonna have many you multiple pages so I would save it to the library as well just so that if you need to modify it and you have 20 modules you only modify it in one place right coaching menu boom okay and your update it should actually look similar to what we had okay but that's basically how you take something well it looks a bit different how you take something you make it a global so you can you can reuse it but you can also use that to make a copy and then make it on global and then tweak it further for for this specific course okay so I hope that was helpful and this is how you customize the menu and how you use the global elements in DV

are you looking to create an online program but you don't know if it's gonna be a membership if it's going to be of course what it's going to look like but you want to get it right the first time I'm going to share with you three questions that you absolutely need to answer before you do anything else but if you start to look around for tools or for strategy is going to divert you from the three very important things that you need to tackle and nail before you even get started okay so let me share with you those three questions question number one is who do you want to help online and don't say everybody because that's not possible okay what do you want to help why do you do this in the first place do you want to continue to support your past clients maybe people that have purchased high ticket programs from you in the past and you know you've let them down because you don't have anything for them after you know they finished the service with you maybe you want to start serving the people that are your followers you know your social media followers maybe you have a large list or a large following you're like okay how can you how could I support these people and monetize this audience that I have built or maybe it's a brand new passion that you want to explore right or you've had a passion for a while but you want to start exploring it as a business whatever that is the first thing that you need to decide is who you want to serve now I have quite a few clients we will have several memberships in fact pora written the owner of the yoga Success Academy she's got three now okay so it doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice all your other ideas but for the sake of creating and launching a program stick with one or just where you want to serve question number two what problem you're solving for them and it's got to be really really clear it's going to be a problem that you've identified so either you know about it because they oh you're going to survey them and you're going to find out if it's really a problem that they have or if it's a problem you think they have because that's the the best way to fill and a program is to think that we know what people want okay so that's the question number two you need to answer what problem you are solving for these people and then question number three is how what does that look like but only when you know who and what you can start looking at the how and how is going to be a combination of two things it's going to be a combination of how what is the best way to get them the solution okay it's the solution number three and that depends on how they like to learn and how what is the best format for that but it's also a combination of what you want to do how much do you want to be involved how much do you want to give of your time how much is going to be self-learning and how much is going to be life okay remember that when you build an online program you're building it to scale and reach a much bigger audience but you're also building it so that you can leverage your time and your expertise and that means making sure that you designed a program in such a way that it fits within your lifestyle and not the other way around okay so until you've laid nailed these three questions what you want to work with who you want to serve online to what problem you're going to solve for them and you need to be clear on that and three the solution how you're going to solve it until you've answered these three questions there is no point working on anything else okay so I hope you found this helpful I have some resources below for you to help you get clarity on that you're going to see case studies there is a monthly recurring revenue calculator in case your goal is to I don't know do like five key or mods thank you months with a membership and you can clearly see what it looks like with the current size of audience that you have how much you want to charge for mods how many months you think they're going to stay gonna get really really clear on how feasible your goal is so have you answered those three questions is it really really clear for you tell me in the comments I want to know and if you have any questions just post them I'd be happy to help if you're not sign up to our Channel please click on the subscribe button and turn on the notifications so that you can be notified when we come up with a new training like this thank you so much for watching and I will see you next time
